NUSOV Vladimir Efimovich
NUSOV Vladimir Efimovich
Architect. Honored Architect of the Kyrgyz SSR. Born in 1908 in the village of Krichyev, Mogilev region, Belarus. Studied in Leningrad, first at the Technical School of Arts and Crafts from 1927 to 1929, then at VKhUTEIN from 1929 to 1931, after which he was transferred to the Leningrad Institute of Capital Construction in the architectural and artistic faculty, graduating in February 1934.
After graduation, he worked in Minsk. In November 1934, he was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army.
In October 1935, after mobilization, he worked in Moscow, and before the war moved to Frunze, where he was accepted into the "Kirgosprom" institute.
At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, like many architects of Kyrgyzstan, he went to defend the freedom and independence of our Motherland.
After the victory in 1946, he returned to continue his work in Kyrgyzstan.
Member of the Union of Architects of the USSR since 1938.
Having tied his fate to the architecture of Kyrgyzstan, V. E. NUSOV, with his inherent conscientiousness and enthusiasm, sought to understand the Kyrgyz artistic tradition in order to find ways to create a new national architecture.
The most prominent and interesting works of this architect include the N. G. Chernyshevsky Library and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz SSR in Frunze, the racetrack complex in the southwestern part of the capital, the building of the pedagogical institute in Osh, and others.
V. E. NUSOV successfully manifested himself in all genres of architecture: cities and towns, squares and parks, palaces, sanatoriums, residential buildings, and small forms. In all his designs, there is a clear tribute to the universal passion for classical heritage and the search for national color. By the will of fate, V. E. NUSOV became a participant in the historical process of restructuring all architectural and construction activities, which gained wide scope after the All-Union Builders' Conference in Moscow in July 1954 and the party and government resolution in 1955 "On eliminating excesses in design and construction." V. E. NUSOV published an article in the newspaper "Soviet Kyrgyzstan" titled "Questions of National Form in Architecture," in which he called for mobilizing efforts to implement the resolutions of the party and government.
An important event in the architectural life of Kyrgyzstan was the beginning of training architects in 1965 at the Frunze Polytechnic Institute as a result of the initiative of the Union of Architects of the Republic. From this moment on, V. E. NUSOV dedicated his activities to training architectural personnel. At the same time, his small monograph "Architectural Monuments of Kyrgyzstan" was published.
Awarded three Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR and the "Veteran of Labor" medal.
