- On the air of the radio on December 10, 2025, the Deputy Director of "Kyrgyz Komur," Rustambek Sadyraliev, discussed issues related to the quality of coal during the winter season.

According to Sadyraliev, with the onset of cold weather, consumers have complaints, particularly regarding the fine fraction of coal and the smoke produced during its combustion. He noted that in winter, the issue of air quality becomes especially relevant in Bishkek, and the "coal issue" plays a significant role here.

The Deputy Director emphasized that coal mined in Kyrgyzstan undergoes necessary laboratory tests before entering the market and receives corresponding state certificates.

"If the coal does not meet standards, has low calorific value, or may cause harm, its sale will be prohibited by government authorities," he noted.

As an example, he cited coal from Kara-Keche, which meets all current standards and has permission for sale.

"From this perspective, the coal is safe. It can be used for both household needs and commercial purposes," added Sadyraliev.

He separately explained why some consumers may receive coal in a fine fraction. According to him, this is related to the natural characteristics of coal deposits, as well as the processes of loading and transportation, during which coal may break.

"We strive for every customer to receive quality coal. However, the fine fraction is still coal. During transportation, it may crumble, and that's why there is sometimes a bit of fine coal," he clarified.
