Yesterday, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh approved the bill on the ratification of the agreement with OPEC regarding the loan under the "First Program for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth" during the second reading. This document was signed on September 22, 2025, between Kyrgyzstan and the OPEC Fund for International Development.

According to the terms of the agreement, Kyrgyzstan will receive $30 million as budget support at an interest rate of 1.25% for a period of 20 years, including a grace period of five years.

The Deputy Minister of Finance, Nurbek Akzholov, stated that these funds will be directed to JSC "Kyrgyzneftegaz" in the form of a budget loan, which will be issued for eight years at an interest rate of 1% per annum, with a four-year grace period. He emphasized that this financing will enable the company to modernize its production capacities and reduce the import of petroleum products, which will have a positive impact on the economic situation in the country.
