In the Issyk-Kul region, more than 700 thousand trout larvae were produced

The Department of Fisheries has successfully completed a phase of artificial trout breeding in the Issyk-Kul region. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, out of 812 thousand eggs laid, 747 thousand larvae were obtained.

With a survival rate of 92%, experts consider this result to be quite successful. Despite natural losses of 8%, the young trout are showing excellent growth rates and have already been transferred to special starter feeds.

At the same time, the Regional Acclimatization Department is actively engaged in breeding the sig-loodogi. There are 2.5 million eggs of this species in incubation devices. Specialists predict that the hatching process for the sig larvae will last about 82 days and will be completed by early March.

These activities are aimed at restoring the population of valuable fish and developing the fishing industry of the country.
