Investors will be offered favorable conditions
An industrial park is planned to be created based on the Mailuu-Suu Electric Lamp Plant. This decision was made in accordance with the president's decree, which provides for the provision of eased conditions for investors.
The Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, shared this information at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee dedicated to agricultural policy, water resources, and environmental protection.
According to him, the government has already begun to address the issues that have accumulated at the enterprise. In particular, it has been possible to fully pay off the salary arrears for the last three months, with 550 employees receiving their payments. Laid-off workers are entitled to compensation equivalent to two months' salary.
In addition, the state has taken on the obligations to settle the plant's debts for gas, electricity, water, and loans totaling approximately 248 million soms.
To restore the production of glass containers, 187 million soms of working capital has been allocated, which will allow for the employment of up to 230 people. An expansion of the LED lamp production line is also planned: 200 million soms will be directed to the installation of five new lines, which will create about 120 new jobs.
Additionally, negotiations are underway with a potential investor to launch the production of thermal insulation mineral wool using glass waste. The minister noted that the raw material base of the enterprise consists of approximately 700 thousand tons.
