The press service of the Ministry of Finance reported that the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic is allocating funds for the implementation of six hydroelectric power stations and one solar power station.

The total financing volume for the projects amounts to 21.6 billion soms. The total capacity will reach 148.3 megawatts, which will allow for the generation of approximately 629.7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.

According to ministry representatives, the implementation of these projects will help close about 16% of the electricity deficit in the country and enhance the reliability of the entire energy system.

Additionally, the Ministry of Finance noted that the implementation of the projects will create new jobs, increase tax revenues, and contribute to the development of infrastructure, including roads and power transmission lines.

"The development of renewable energy sources contributes to reducing the carbon footprint and opens up new opportunities for irrigation in agriculture," the department added.
