It is noted that the contractor has already begun work on the design and estimate documentation.
The goal of this project is to update the equipment, increase productivity, and extend the operational life of the station, as stated in the official announcement.
It is expected that the successful implementation of the project will lead to a significant improvement in the efficiency and reliability of the Lebedinovskaya HPP, resulting in:
- an increase in installed capacity from 7.6 to 10 MW;
- an increase in annual electricity generation from 37.2 million to 53.5 million kWh;
- enhanced reliability of the hydroelectric power station.

The Lebedinovskaya HPP is one of the earliest operating hydroelectric power stations in the Chui region. Its construction began in May 1942 against the backdrop of World War II events.
The construction was completed in just one year and two weeks. In 1943, the city of Frunze (now Bishkek) received the necessary electricity, which facilitated the launch of evacuated factories that met the needs of the front.
