He noted that in February, the wholesale price of eggs increased by several soms, which, in turn, affected retail prices. "Firstly, last year, egg prices were at the level of production costs, which led to a reduction in production by small farmers. Additionally, there is currently a seasonal factor at play. Preventive measures and vaccinations are being carried out, which has also reduced production volumes," he explained.
Chekiraev added that the situation could improve within a month and a half to two months.
