The National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting dedicated to the creation of the BRICS Pay payment gateway in the country, as reported by the agency's press service.
During the discussion, representatives of the international BRICS Pay project shared their vision for forming a modern infrastructure solution for cross-border payments, covering both retail (C2B) and corporate (B2B) payments.
Meirimbek Koichumanov, the deputy head of the agency, emphasized the importance of supporting the implementation of BRICS Pay in Kyrgyzstan. He noted that the introduction of this system could significantly enhance the country's investment attractiveness.
Additionally, the participants of the meeting familiarized those present with the technological architecture and business model of the new system.
BRICS Pay represents a decentralized platform for digital payments aimed at simplifying financial operations between BRICS+ countries. It ensures secure and continuous settlements in national currencies, facilitating the speed and accessibility of financial transactions.
The implementation of this project could reduce dependence on traditional external payment systems, strengthen control over integration with the national payment infrastructure, and promote the development of modern digital financial services.
