At the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, a program aimed at protecting consumer rights in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union for the period of 2026-2030 was adopted. This was reported by the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Alexander Subbotin, Minister for Technical Regulation of the EEC, emphasized that this program is an important step towards creating a fair and competitive economic space in the EAEU, which will ensure reliable protection of the interests of both citizens and honest businesses.

He also added that the document is based on the experience of the participating countries' joint work in 2022-2025. The main goal of the program is to enhance consumer protection in the context of the digital economy and to increase the attractiveness of the domestic market for entrepreneurs.

Within the framework of the program, emphasis will be placed on the development of convenient digital services, increasing the legal literacy of the population, and creating clear and understandable rules for the functioning of the consumer market. In addition, the countries will continue to exchange experiences and develop coordinated approaches to combating unfair practices and protecting consumer rights.
