The State Agency for Public Service and Local Self-Government Wants to Expand the Project for Training Civil Servants in Japan in the Regions

As part of the "Scholarship Program for Human Resource Development" (JDS), a reporting meeting was held, the State Agency for Public Service and Local Self-Government reported on February 16.

The event was attended by Elchibek Zhantaev, head of the authorized state body for the implementation of JDS in Kyrgyzstan and chairman of the managing commission, as well as the Ambassador of Japan to Kyrgyzstan, Hirano Ryuichi.

The main objective of the meeting was to provide feedback to the members of the Managing Commission on the results of the interviews conducted by professors from the target universities with the candidates of the JDS program.

The professors presented their reviews and evaluations of the candidates who advanced to the second round of the program.

Zhantaev noted that the country's leadership pays special attention to the JDS project, emphasizing that the scholarship recipients receive quality education and make a significant contribution to the development of Kyrgyzstan.

He also highlighted the importance of adhering to the principles of transparency and competitiveness in the selection of program participants.

The director emphasized the possibility of expanding the project, noting the need to increase the number of places for state and municipal employees from the regions. He stated that raising the professional level of personnel in the regions positively affects the quality of public administration in the country.

Hirano Ryuichi thanked all participants of the meeting and noted that the JDS program is being successfully implemented in Kyrgyzstan. He reported that many of its graduates already hold high positions, including department heads and deputy ministers.
