The delegate of the IV People's Kurultai, Aida Satarkulova, shared in an interview with Birinchi Radio that there has been a significant increase in citizen participation, especially among the youth, in the work of the kurultai over the past two years.
She noted that this dynamic differs from the activity seen in previous elections. "In the first two elections, many citizens showed low activity and refused to vote, which created difficulties for us. However, in the third and fourth kurultais, there is significantly higher engagement, and it is especially pleasing to see the active participation of the youth of Kyrgyzstan," said Satarkulova.
The delegate also discussed the problems faced by candidates in the past. "When we participated in the elections, the number of people at the kurultai was insufficient for a full discussion, which created challenges. Some candidates who did not pass the elections expressed dissatisfaction. Nevertheless, we managed to overcome these obstacles and move forward," she added.
In Satarkulova's opinion, the increase in interest and participation of the youth is an important indicator of strengthening popular representation in the country.
