Arsen Avanesyan, who personally spent funds on the improvement of this area, was held accountable for violating land legislation.

Additionally, he was instructed to restore the territory to its original state.

As Avanesyan reported, the improvement work began back in 2022 when he planted about 1,500 plants and installed a watering, lighting, and video surveillance system. His initiative was supported by approximately 300 local residents.

“I wanted us to have our own park,” he shared.

The man also noted that before starting the work, he coordinated his initiative with the mahalla committee.

“In fact, the hokimiyat was aware of it,” he added.

Avanesyan spent more than 1 billion sums (about 922 thousand dollars) of his own funds to create the park.

It is worth noting that Tashkent has been among the most polluted cities in the world in recent years, and doctors recommend that residents go outside wearing masks. At the end of November, the authorities of Uzbekistan promised to take measures to combat this problem, including the expansion of green spaces.
