On December 14, J.K.T. was detained while receiving $90,000. The investigation revealed that he, along with an operative from the Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, M.A.Z., extorted $180,000, promising to change the criminal qualification. During a search of J.K.T.'s vehicle, 105 grams of hashish were found.
This incident has been registered under Article 342, Part 3, Clause 1 ("Receiving a bribe in a particularly large amount") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of the investigation, other involved parties are being identified.
