The zero rate, equal to 0% of the customs value, will apply to natural calcium phosphates, aluminum-calcium natural phosphates, and phosphate chalk until February 29, 2028.
According to Vaagn Kazaryan, the director of the Department of Customs Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of the EEC, the introduction of such a zero rate will help maintain the load on production capacities amid limited phosphate production in the EAEU.
This decision will take effect 30 days after its official publication.
According to the Decision of the EEC Board dated December 27, 2023, from January 5, 2024, to January 4, 2026, a temporary import customs duty rate of 0% of the customs value has already been applied to the specified goods.
