Customs benefits for electric vehicles in the Kyrgyz Republic will come into effect on January 22.
The exemption is based on a decision made by the Eurasian Economic Commission on December 5, 2025, and will apply to both fully electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles powered by electricity.
From the same date, changes to the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity concerning vehicles within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union will also come into force.
The State Customs Service emphasized that the exemptions will not be applied from January 1, but specifically from January 22, 2026. In this regard, participants in foreign economic activity are advised to take this deadline into account when planning their supplies.
