President Sadyr Japarov has approved a law concerning amendments to the Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This law was approved by the parliamentarians on December 24, 2025.
The main goal of adopting this law is to optimize the work of the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to the innovations, the law introduces the following provisions:
– the creation of the position of the first deputy speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic;
– the limitation of the number of deputies from one faction or deputy group in the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh to 4 people;
– starting from January 1, 2027, the implementation of voting using an electronic voting system with fingerprint recognition and/or facial geometry recognition is planned.
