We remind you that at the meeting of the Budget, Economy, and Entrepreneurship Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, held on January 19, 2026, rumors emerged that the "Rikha" company allegedly had its "license revoked" and there were violations in accreditation. However, the company itself denied these claims, which were also confirmed by the "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry." The Agro-Industrial Corporation of the Kyrgyz Republic also called for compliance with legislation regarding this manufacturer.
Issues related to an incident that occurred last year, when pork DNA was found in "Rikha" products, were also discussed. To resolve this situation, a meeting took place on December 9, 2025, with the participation of representatives from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan and the State Institution "Center for Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise." As a result of the meeting, "Rikha" took the necessary measures to address the problem.
Repeated laboratory tests conducted in January 2026 found no pork DNA in the company's products. At the end of the meeting, the parties reached a mutual understanding and noted the importance of further cooperation in promoting domestic products.
The State Institution "Center for the Development of the Halal Industry" previously reported on the revision of approaches to certification in the halal industry sector. In this regard, necessary changes are being made to the Code of Offenses aimed at combating unfair entrepreneurship and reducing cases of consumer deception regarding halal certification.
