In the Sokuluk district, athlete Chyngyz Latipov, known for his achievements, surprised everyone with a record turkey weight of 26 kg. He shared this with a correspondent from Turmush.

“I have been raising turkeys on my farm for three years, and this weight has become a record for me. Perhaps other farmers have had heavier turkeys, but for me, this is the maximum indicator. The turkey weighed 26.335 kg — it filled a large basin. One breast alone weighed 10 kg. I sell the meat for 550 soms per kilogram,” he shared.

Latipov explained that this is a broiler turkey, which he bought in the summer when he was told that this breed could weigh up to 13 kg. “By New Year, I sold half of the turkeys, and I continued to feed the remaining ones with special feed. The other day I decided to slaughter one of them and check — it turned out to be 26 kg of meat,” he added.

This year, the athlete purchased 35 turkey chicks for 550 soms each. “While they are still very small, they cannot be exposed to drafts, and it is necessary to maintain the temperature at around 36 degrees. I cover the floor with dry cloth and constantly change it — I take care of them like they are little children. Over time, they grow quickly and require less care,” Chyngyz explained.

It was previously reported that he became known for his sports achievements: at the XX International Issyk-Kul Games, Chyngyz ran 25 meters with a stone weighing 100 kg. He currently works as a welder at a car repair plant in the Pishpek region, where he is responsible for repairing the bodies of old trains.

Chyngyz was born on March 13, 1994, in the village of Shalta. He graduated from the Daiyr Doronbekov school in 2011 and continued his studies at Lyceum No. 97 in the railway department. He currently lives with his parents and is not married, being the third of four children in the family.

Chyngyz Latipov was also awarded the title of “Best Young Worker” among railway workers in 2016. During his school years, he practiced kickboxing and hand-to-hand combat, and later began training in taek tartyshe, arm wrestling, and kettlebell sport. His main motivation for engaging in sports was the desire to be stronger than his peers.

In 2018, he participated in competitions in four sports at the Issyk-Kul Sports Games, where he took first place in three of them. “This year turned out to be successful for me. I participated in competitions in four sports. In taek tartyshe, my weight was slightly higher than usual, so I competed in the higher weight category and took second place. In kettlebell sport, athletics, and shot put, I took first place. I also participate in district and regional competitions, showing good results. I represent the Sokuluk district and the railway enterprise at all tournaments,” Chyngyz shared.
