- Specialists from two dairy companies confirmed that quality control of milk is the most crucial stage in the production process, reports Tazabek.

The publication continues to address issues related to the development of the dairy industry in the country.

Previously, we discussed how the quality of raw milk is checked in Kyrgyzstan at both the state level and at the factory level, and raised the question of why 934 thousand cows are unable to meet the needs of farmers and processing enterprises.

At the "Ak Jalgа" enterprise, it was noted that their laboratory tests milk based on 16 indicators, including:

In addition, an additional analysis is conducted for the presence of foreign substances.

In the company "Talas Sut," it was clarified that laboratory studies are carried out in cooperation with relevant sanitary services.

Regarding the situation with low purchase prices mentioned on February 11, 2026, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, both enterprises noted that milk is purchased at 35 soms per liter, but when supplied through intermediaries, the price can rise to 39 soms per liter. This is due to additional costs for collecting and transporting milk.

Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev noted that the price of raw milk depends on its fat content, and each factory has a corresponding table.

According to representatives of dairy enterprises, the domestic market is fully supplied with dairy products, and currently, there is no shortage of finished products. However, they highlight several problems faced by the dairy industry.

One of the main issues is the difficulties with exports. Producers point to the tightening of requirements for supplies to foreign markets, including additional laboratory analyses and customs procedures.

“When exporting, there are additional requirements — various analyses and customs documents. This creates certain difficulties for enterprises,” noted Rinat Azamatov, head of production at the "Ak Jalgа" enterprise.

The industry is also negatively affected by rising prices for fuel, feed, and imported materials.

During the winter period, companies may face a shortage of raw milk, which is associated with rising feed prices and declining milk yields.

Finally, one of the pressing issues remains the need for equipment modernization. A representative of the "Talas Sut" company reported that some of the equipment at the factories was installed back in Soviet times.
