In the case of visits to Family Medicine Centers (FMC) or General Practice Centers (GPC), the following rules apply:
If there is a referral from a family doctor, 50% of the procedure cost is covered for:
- benefit categories, including children and pensioners of any age;
- citizens with insurance.
If a patient comes without a referral, full payment (100%) is required from the following categories:
- benefit groups, including children and pensioners;
- insured individuals;
- uninsured citizens.
Payment is made according to the price list of the medical institution.
As for patients undergoing inpatient treatment:
X-rays in the hospital are provided free of charge for the following groups:
- children and pensioners of any age;
- insured and uninsured patients who made a co-payment upon hospitalization.
The MHIF emphasizes that having a referral is a mandatory condition for receiving the service at a reduced cost in FMC and GPC.
