In Kyrgyzstan, 978 new cases of HIV were identified in 10 months

According to information provided on December 1 by the Director of the Republican Center for the Control of Hemocontact Viral Hepatitis and HIV (RCKHVH), Umutkan Chokmorova, there were 978 new cases of HIV recorded in Kyrgyzstan from January to October 2025.

Since 1996, as of November 1, 2025, the country has registered 15,298 cases of HIV infection. During this time, 767 people have died from the consequences of the disease.
December 1 is celebrated as World AIDS Day, which aims to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS on a global level.
