It became known at a working meeting held by Health Minister Kanaybek Dosmambetov with representatives of the private pharmaceutical sector that the Ministry of Health has set a goal to complete the implementation of the drug traceability system by the end of January 2026. This innovation is aimed at strengthening control and reducing unfair practices in the healthcare sector.
The system will ensure transparency in tracking medicines at all stages—from the moment of procurement to the end consumer. It will allow for monitoring the actual availability of medications, planning purchases in advance, and quickly responding to potential risks of shortages, thereby eliminating opaque schemes and subjective approaches in decision-making.
