In the Kyrgyz Republic, plans are underway to create a registry of unscrupulous participants in the pharmaceutical market

The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic has initiated the development of a special registry for unscrupulous participants in the pharmaceutical market. This decision was made following a working meeting between the Minister of Health and representatives of the private pharmaceutical sector.

The creation of the registry will be part of a drug traceability system, which is expected to be fully implemented by the end of January 2026. This system will ensure transparent control over the movement of medications—from the moment of purchase to their receipt by the end consumer—and will also allow for tracking the availability of drugs, predicting demand, and planning purchases in advance.

The new registry will include participants in the pharmaceutical market who violate legislation and principles of ethical business conduct. Inclusion in this list will serve as a basis for restricting further participation of unscrupulous companies in the supply of medications within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

“Pharmaceutical policy should be formed exclusively in the interests of the state and patients. Our task is to restore order in one of the most sensitive areas. Private interests cannot prevail here. The main focus must be on the interests of the state and patients, and it is they who should determine future decisions,” said Kanybek Dosmambetov at the meeting.
