In the village of Archaly, the creation of a rehabilitation complex for children with disabilities is planned.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the initiative to design and build a modern rehabilitation town with educational and methodological functions is based on the directive of President Sadyr Japarov. The goal is to develop a system of assistance for children with disabilities and to increase the accessibility of medical services.
As part of the project preparation, Health Minister Kanbek Dosmambetov visited the existing rehabilitation center "Maksat," where he familiarized himself with its working conditions and the territory designated for future infrastructure.
The main task of the project is to create a complex that will provide comprehensive assistance to children suffering from cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, and other developmental disorders.
The complex will include specialized centers that will provide inpatient, outpatient, and day rehabilitation, as well as a correction center for children with ASD and Down syndrome, a modern center for children with cerebral palsy with 150 beds, accommodation for parents and medical staff, and an educational block.
The structure of the rehabilitation complex will include specialized rooms, a pool for hydrotherapy, physical therapy, kinesitherapy, massage rooms, physiotherapy, sensory integration, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychology, as well as areas for occupational therapy and open spaces for rehabilitation and play, including elements of hippotherapy aimed at improving the physical and psycho-emotional condition of children.
The operation of the complex will be based on the principles of evidence-based medicine and a multidisciplinary approach, with individual rehabilitation programs that actively involve families.
Special attention will be paid to the training and professional development of specialists in the field of rehabilitation, the development of a family-oriented assistance model, and the formation of human resources.
This project aligns with the state policy in the field of child health protection and medical rehabilitation and is considered a model for further scaling in other regions of the country. The implementation of the initiative will improve the quality and accessibility of rehabilitation assistance, enhance functional and social recovery indicators, strengthen family involvement in the treatment process, and create a national center of competencies in pediatric rehabilitation.
