On February 25, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Nurgamal Torobekova (district No. 8) proposed the introduction of a maternity grant for all women expecting a child.

She noted that currently, a one-time maternity grant is only provided to working women and those engaged in agriculture, while unemployed expectant mothers cannot rely on this support. "It would be right for the one-time allowance to be given to all pregnant women, regardless of their employment status. This would serve as excellent support for mothers," the deputy added.
