According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Mongolia occupies an important place in trade relations with Russia. The mutual trade turnover increased by 17.8% in 2024, and by 5% in the first nine months of 2025. The signed Temporary Trade Agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Mongolia will contribute to further growth in trade volumes.
“We are providing Mongolian companies with the opportunity for duty-free trade in the EEU market, which consists of nearly 200 million consumers. This is also important for us, as the agreement will help diversify the range of goods in our market,” noted Alexey Overchuk.
During the forum, Alexey Overchuk held a meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, Minister of Economy and Development Jadambyn Enkhbayar. They discussed issues related to expanding Russian-Mongolian trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy and transport infrastructure.
During the conversation, Overchuk and Enkhbayar agreed to start joint work on non-tariff regulation issues, which will create more favorable conditions for producers in the markets of Russia, Mongolia, and the EEU countries.
