The Honolulu Marathon is one of the largest and most welcoming marathons in the USA.

Iris Chuluunbat-naski, a Mongolian runner residing in Seattle and celebrating her 54th birthday this year, won the gold medal with an impressive time of 3:08:05. She was followed by Japanese athletes Yasoka Sato (03:22:52) and Oke Kazué (03:23:22), who took second and third places, respectively.

Every December, the marathon gathers over 35,000 participants from around the world, offering unique challenges, stunning views, and the Aloha spirit.

A Grand Start

The race starts at 5:00 AM on Ala Moana Boulevard, where a grand fireworks display lights up the dark streets of Honolulu and sends the participants on their way.

Beautiful Miles

The route goes through Waikiki Beach, downtown Honolulu, and past Diamond Head, where participants can enjoy views of the ocean and the sunrise.

Finish at Kapiolani Park

The race concludes at Kapiolani Park, which is located close to the beach. Finishers receive medals, can refresh themselves under a shower, and enjoy fresh malasadas and other treats. Here, a true celebration begins, regardless of the participants' fatigue!

The Honolulu Marathon attracts participants not only from Hawaii but also from the continental United States and around the world, making it not just a race but a true event. Participants, both newcomers and veterans, become part of one of the most unforgettable marathon weekends in the world.
