The investigation into the plane crash has been completed, which came as a surprise to Baku, as noted by Bayramov. He emphasized that the letter from Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, raised serious questions for Azerbaijan.
“The content of the letter surprises Azerbaijan. Bastrykin announced the closure of the criminal case, which calls into question many aspects. In response, the relevant authorities of our country have already expressed their position. We hope for a quick clarification of the situation,” the minister's words are quoted by Oхu.Az.
The crash occurred on December 25, 2024, near Aktau, when the plane was operating flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny. As a result of the tragedy, 38 people died, and 29 sustained various injuries.
