Tokayev again calls for a diplomatic resolution to the crisis in the Middle East

On Monday, during a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al-Ariqi, Tokayev expressed his concern about the current situation in the Middle East, especially in light of the ongoing attacks from Iran on the territory of the UAE, as reported by Akorda.

The President of Kazakhstan emphasized that the country is against the involvement of neutral states in military conflicts in the Middle East. He called for de-escalation of violence and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the UAE and other Gulf countries that are not participating in the ongoing hostilities, as well as for a transition to a peaceful resolution of the crisis.

Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan is ready to offer a platform for peaceful negotiations if such a need arises.

Earlier, at a meeting with the public in Turkestan, he indicated that this city could become a venue for negotiations. However, at the moment, all parties to the conflict, including the USA, Israel, and Iran, have rejected the possibility of direct meetings.
