The decision to transform the Nalaikh industrial and technological park into a special economic zone with attractive conditions for taxation, investment, and financing was made by the government.
At a Cabinet meeting held on March 25, 2026, officials were tasked with ensuring the effective implementation of public-private partnerships at the local level by eliminating administrative barriers.
On March 22, Prime Minister Zandan Shatar Gombojav visited Nalaikh to assess the condition of the district medical center and healthcare services, as well as to meet with local authorities and representatives of the governor's office.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to expedite the implementation of a number of key activities, including the completion and approval of the project for the new heating supply for Nalaikh with a capacity of 79 MW under the current budget law, the selection of a contractor, and the acceleration of construction work. It is also planned to attract financing from international financial organizations for the expansion of pipelines, substations, and electrical networks of the thermal power plant, as well as to develop a comprehensive solution to address the issue of the difference in heating tariffs and present it to the Cabinet of Ministers.
Additionally, the government will consider the possibility of constructing a new hospital building as part of a project funded by the Asian Development Bank to improve and strengthen the healthcare system in the aimags.
