According to data provided by Reuters based on information from five sources in American intelligence, the United States is confident that it has destroyed only about a third of Iran's missile arsenal. This statement comes amid nearly a month-long conflict between the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran on the other.

Approximately a third of Iran's missiles are estimated to be either damaged, destroyed, or buried under debris. A similar situation is observed with Iran's drones, for which it is also estimated that about a third have been destroyed.

Reuters emphasizes that despite the destruction of a significant portion of the missiles, Tehran still possesses considerable missile capabilities. According to sources, it is possible that some of the damaged or buried missiles could be restored after the fighting ends.

This information contradicts public statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump, who claimed that Iran has "very few missiles left." However, as the agency notes, Trump himself has effectively acknowledged that the remaining Iranian missiles and drones pose a threat to potential future U.S. operations in the Strait of Hormuz.

Previously, the Trump administration aimed to weaken the Iranian military, including the destruction of its missile and drone capabilities, as well as preventing the emergence of nuclear weapons in the Islamic Republic. At the same time, the U.S. has given Iran an additional 10 days to open the Strait of Hormuz, after which it may resume strikes on the energy sector of that country. Israel has also announced its intention to intensify its actions against Iran.
