According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), a rocket was launched from Yemeni territory towards Israel on the night of March 28, leading to the declaration of an air raid alert in several areas. However, the air defense system was able to intercept the rocket. Later, the Houthis confirmed the attack, stating that a "barrage of rockets" was aimed at "key Israeli military targets." They explained their actions as a response to Israeli strikes on Iran, Lebanon, and Palestinian regions.
According to Reuters, this was the first attack by the Houthis on Israel since the start of the U.S.-Israeli operation against Iran.
