According to information provided by Trump to journalists at the White House, the war between the USA and Israel on one side and Iran on the other may end within the next two to three weeks, as reported by DW.

The president emphasized that attacks on Iran could be halted even in the absence of a treaty with Tehran. He noted that the main goal of Washington is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, and once that is achieved, the USA intends to end military actions.

Trump also added that if an agreement is reached, the war could end sooner, but the existence of a deal is not a determining condition for resolving the conflict.

Additionally, he stated that the issue of blocking the Strait of Hormuz should be addressed by other countries, not just the USA. At the same time, the president expressed confidence that oil prices would drop after the attacks on Iran cease. Global markets reacted to his words with an increase, and although prices remain high, the price of oil has decreased.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also noted that Washington feels the "home stretch" approaching in the war with Iran, but acknowledged that the end of the conflict is not expected in the near future.

The conflict between the USA, Israel, and Iran began on February 28, 2026, and has affected not only these countries but also the states of the Persian Gulf. It has impacted global energy resource prices and the shipping situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
