A Mongolian-Uzbek business meeting in B2B format took place in Ulaanbaatar

The exhibition "B2B Business Meeting Mongolia-Uzbekistan 2026" took place on March 30 and 31, 2026, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Mongolia, as reported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in Mongolia.

The main objective of this event was to strengthen economic ties between Mongolia and Uzbekistan, as well as to increase mutual investments to elevate trade and business cooperation to a new level. As a result of the visit of the President of Mongolia to Uzbekistan in 2024, bilateral trade turnover significantly increased. Thus, in 2024 it amounted to $20 million, and in 2025 it rose to $50 million.

More than 30 Uzbek businessmen participated in the exhibition, representing industries such as pharmaceuticals, construction, food production, household chemicals, and machinery. Currently, the main export goods from Uzbekistan to Mongolia are fruits and food products.

According to the analysis of the Mongolian market, many Uzbek companies are showing active interest, including considering the possibility of creating joint ventures. For instance, options for packaging dried fruits in Mongolia for supply to the domestic market are being discussed. At the same time, Uzbek entrepreneurs are interested in importing meat from Mongolia, including live cattle and frozen meat. Additionally, negotiations were held on creating joint production in the wool and cashmere sectors.

This year, the main goal of the event is to establish connections between entrepreneurs from both countries and expand cooperation, which should lead to tangible results. The exhibition includes 32 Mongolian businessmen and 33 representatives from 24 Uzbek organizations. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan was established in Mongolia in June 2025 and began operations in September, contributing to an increase in trade volumes. The total trade turnover from 2019 to 2024 amounted to $4.5 million, while in 2025 it reached $32 million, doubling in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period last year. The Chamber also provides consulting services to importers and startups.

Uzbekistan is actively working to attract foreign investments, and in 2026 there is a noticeable increase in interest in investments from Mongolia, opening new prospects for joint projects. For example, in 2025, the "Mongol Basalt" plant was opened in Uzbekistan. Further discussions are planned regarding joint investments in the pharmaceutical, mining, and construction sectors.

Lkhagvajav Baatarjav delivered a speech at the business meeting
The President of the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lkhagvajav Baatarjav, in his speech emphasized the importance of direct interactions between businessmen to increase trade turnover between the countries. He noted that the Uzbek market plays a key role for Mongolia as a strategic gateway in Central Asia and provides wide opportunities for the exchange of experience in agriculture and light industry, as well as for the supply of raw materials and the production of value-added goods.

Moreover, a large meeting involving Mongolian entrepreneurs is planned to be organized in the capital of Uzbekistan, which will be a good opportunity to strengthen partnerships between businessmen and producers of the two countries.
