Abdyrov's body was found on February 7 at around 12:30 on the internal grille of his cell. He hanged himself using his pants.
Despite the doctors' attempts to provide first aid, Abdyrov did not survive.
An investigative operational group from the GSIN and the special prosecutor's office arrived at the scene. In connection with this event, a pre-investigation check has been initiated, and necessary examinations have been appointed.
As clarified by the GSIN, Kumarbek Abdyrov was transferred to their facility on December 17, 2025, from the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek. He is accused of a series of rapes and murders of women, acting as a taxi driver to lure victims into his car. Among his victims are Kamila Duyshaeva and Aysulu Mukasheva.
