It is presumed that this could have been a suicide; however, the press service of the State Penitentiary Service (GSIN) is currently refraining from official comments.
Disappearance and Tragedy of Aysulu
17-year-old Aysulu M. went missing on September 27 in the Jeti-Oguz district of the Issyk-Kul region. That day, she was heading from the village of Barskoon to visit a friend in the village of Jenish, but she never returned home.Surveillance cameras captured the moment when the girl got into a Honda Stream, driven by a man born in 1984.
The investigation suggests that the suspect took Aysulu to an apple orchard, where he committed violent acts against her and then killed her. To cover his tracks, he attempted to dispose of the body, which was later found in the Boom Gorge.
After being detained in Bishkek, Abdyrov was placed in a detention center. He had previous convictions for robbery and attempted murder.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated an internal investigation regarding a police officer who, according to the agency, made unfounded statements in a conversation with Aysulu's relatives.
Confessions to Other Crimes
As previously reported, Abdyrov confessed to the murders of several women. This was announced by the presidential press secretary Daiyrbek Orunbekov on his social media page, sharing material from the ElTR television channel.Investigative authorities believe that he may be involved in at least six attacks, four of which resulted in murders. Law enforcement agencies do not rule out the possibility that the number of victims may be higher.
The investigation is ongoing.
