The 36-year-old woman was found guilty of large-scale fraud by the Vorkuta City Court. The case materials indicate that from 2022 to 2025, she repeatedly submitted applications to the branch of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of Komi for the appointment of monthly benefits for her four minor children, stating Vorkuta as her place of residence, although she and her children actually lived in the Moscow region. As a result, she managed to unlawfully obtain over 1.4 million rubles.
Admitting her guilt, the woman partially compensated for the damage caused. The court imposed a conditional sentence of three years of imprisonment with a probation period of three years. Additionally, the prosecutor's office succeeded in a claim for the recovery of the remaining amount of damage of 1.2 million rubles in favor of Russia. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
