According to the publication, the incident took place in Taraz. The victims were two children — a five-year-old and a three-year-old. They were hospitalized with closed traumatic brain injuries and acute brain swelling.
The child born in 2021 also had a closed fracture of the femur with displacement. Both children underwent a CT scan of the brain, chest, and pelvic bones, and they also had a laparosynthesis performed. Surgery was scheduled for them to reduce the brain swelling, the source reports.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated, and the suspect has been taken into custody in a detention center.
It is worth noting that a similar case occurred last year in the Pavlodar region. In the summer, a woman threw her two young sons out of the window on the fifth floor and then jumped down herself.
All three were taken to intensive care with serious injuries. The one-and-a-half-year-old child died two days later, while the older boy survived. During the investigation, it was revealed that the woman had been registered at a specialized medical institution. A criminal case was opened for the facts of murder and attempted murder of minors.
As a result of the court proceedings, the mother of the children was found to be insane and was exempted from criminal liability, being assigned to compulsory treatment in a specialized psychiatric hospital with intensive supervision.
