The city hall explained the situation
Local residents in the southern districts of Bishkek are reporting issues with heating and a lack of hot water in their homes.
According to information provided by the city hall, the cause of this situation was a pipe burst on 7 April Street, located between Mederov and Akhunbaev Streets.
“There was a burst in the heating networks in this area, which have been in operation since 1974 and 1986. Their service life significantly exceeds the regulatory standards, which led to the emergency situation,” the city hall clarified.
During the repair work, there may be temporary interruptions in the supply of thermal energy in the southern part of the city. The completion dates for the work will be communicated later,” they added.
