Foreign drivers have become victims of illegal extortion
In Kyrgyzstan, suspects have been detained for organizing a criminal group that extorted money from truck drivers transporting goods for 15 years. This was reported by the press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to law enforcement agencies, the detainees, known as representatives of the "sportobshchak," are D.Z. and R.u.A. They are accused of threatening and using physical violence to force foreign drivers working at the "Dordoy" market to pay them money.
D.Z. previously had no legal issues, thanks to his connections in law enforcement agencies. There is information about his ties to criminal elements, including members of the organized crime group led by Kamchybek Asanbek and Rysbek Akmatbaev.
The Main Investigative Department of the GKNB has initiated a criminal case under Article 261 of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan. The detainees have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB.
