Officials from the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) conducted an inspection and found that the rehabilitation centers 'Idalgo', 'Resolution', and 'Bishkek-Mayak' were operating without legal grounds. This information was provided by the agency's press service.
The management and some employees of these institutions resorted to cruel treatment methods, including physical violence, the use of electric shock devices, and tying patients to chairs and beds. Additionally, they placed individuals in isolation rooms, leading to serious physical and psychological injuries.
During the inspection, prohibited psychotropic substances were also discovered and seized, which were used in the treatment of patients.
As a result of the operation, several individuals were detained, including 'E.u.Ch.', 'K.K.B.', 'R.F.S.', 'Zh.A.Z.', 'K.E.', 'R.V.G.', and 'M.A.A.', all of whom are employees or managers of these rehabilitation centers.
The investigation has established two cases of patient deaths while undergoing treatment at 'Bishkek-Mayak'.
