Fraudsters are using modern technology to create false addresses from well-known figures, including the president. Such videos are often generated using artificial intelligence.
As noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the main goal of such fakes is to confuse citizens, gain their trust, and persuade them to transfer money or provide personal information.
In this regard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs advises:
- to be cautious about videos from unverified and dubious sources;
- to verify information exclusively through official channels of government bodies;
- to avoid clicking on suspicious links;
- not to send money or disclose personal information based on video materials from the internet.
