In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, police officers detained two suspects in a robbery that occurred in one of the hotels in the Lenin district. This information was provided by the press service of the district's Internal Affairs Department.
According to reports, on December 9, 2025, a citizen named K.T. contacted law enforcement. He reported that on December 8, while in a hotel on Krasnaya Street with a friend and two girls, he became a victim of an attack. Unknown individuals broke into the room, beat him, and stole his iPhone 11 Pro mobile phone worth 18,000 soms, as well as a wristwatch and 6,700 soms in cash. Additionally, the victim was forced to transfer money via the "O-Dengi" system.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 206 (robbery) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and necessary examinations were appointed.
During operational activities, the police managed to detain the second suspect, T.J., born in 2007, who was placed in a temporary detention facility. The first suspect, T.D., also born in 2007, had previously been arrested.
The investigation established that the stolen phone was sold by the suspects for 10,000 soms, and the proceeds were spent on personal needs.
The investigation is ongoing.
