The suspect has been detained
A suspect in a phone fraud case has been detained in Bishkek, as reported by the press service of the capital's Main Internal Affairs Department.
On December 12, 2025, a 76-year-old woman named M. O. approached the Sverdlovsk Internal Affairs Department. She reported that unknown individuals, posing as law enforcement officers, deceitfully obtained her money in the amount of 850,000 soms and then ceased all communication.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational-search activities, a citizen named A. J., born in 2004, was detained. In accordance with Articles 96–97 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, he was placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department.
