A resident of Bishkek contacted the police on April 2, 2021, stating that from November 10, 2020, to April 15, 2021, he had transferred 1 million 50 thousand soms to a man who promised to help him with an issue related to his son, who was arrested in Moscow.
This incident was registered as fraud under Article 204 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (in its old version).
On February 20, 2026, law enforcement agencies detained the suspect, I.E., born in 1985, who was placed in a temporary detention facility.
During the investigation, his involvement in other similar cases is being checked.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
