About 500 businessmen and officials have filed complaints against employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), accusing them of various official misconduct. This was reported by sources within the law enforcement agencies to the editorial office of Kaktus.media.

It became known that Kamchybek Tashiev was removed from his position as head of the GKNB, and his subordinates were also dismissed, including Eldar Jakypbekov, the head of the GKNB for Bishkek, who was detained, as well as Salmoora Jumabekov, the head of the GKNB for Osh and the Osh region. After these events, as noted by the sources, citizens engaged in business, as well as various officials, began to approach the prosecutor's office.

“Last week, we recorded about 500 complaints regarding abuses by GKNB employees. Currently, all these appeals are under review,” they added.

On February 10, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, signed a decree relieving Kamchybek Tashiev of his duties as Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security.

Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov was appointed as the acting chairman of the GKNB.

In addition, three deputy chairmen of the GKNB resigned.

On February 14, the head of the Main Department of the GKNB for Bishkek was changed — instead of Eldar Jakypbekov, Ulan Biibosunov was appointed. The next day, Jakypbekov was detained.

On February 16, Salmoora Jumabekov was removed from his position as head of the Main Department of the GKNB for Osh and the Osh region.
