On February 10, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, signed a decree according to which Kamchybek Tashiev was relieved of his position as Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
He was replaced by Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov, who became the acting chairman of the GKNB.
In addition, three deputies of the chairman of the GKNB were sent into retirement.
On February 14, there were changes in the position of head of the Main Department of the GKNB for Bishkek: Ulan Biibosunov replaced Eldar Jakypbekov. On February 15, Jakypbekov was detained.
