The incident occurred on March 3, when at 22:36, law enforcement received a signal about the sounds of gunshots in the village of Novopavlovka. A investigative-operational group from the Lenin District Police Department was dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, police officers established that 35-year-old S.M. was setting off firecrackers while holding a toy gun. This circumstance led local residents to believe that he was using a real firearm.
A protocol was drawn up against the offender under Article 126 ("Petty Hooliganism") of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, after which he was placed in a temporary detention cell.
The police urge citizens to maintain public order and avoid using items that may imitate weapons.
