The funds were intended for the purchase of computer equipment and necessary repair work.
During the fight against corruption in state enterprises, a case of embezzlement and misappropriation of budget funds was uncovered, committed by the former manager 'P.B.M.' and chief accountant 'M.N.A.' of the Leilek district branch of OJSC 'Kyrgyz Post'. This situation was reported by the press service of the special services.
The investigation established that from January to September 2025, 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.', taking advantage of their official position, embezzled a total of 5,213,900 soms.
During this period, the central office of 'Kyrgyz Post' transferred funds to the branch's bank account for the purchase and updating of computer equipment, furniture, and windows, as well as for other repair works.
However, no purchases were made, as all the received funds were embezzled by 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.'
In addition, during their work, they transferred inflated salary amounts to employees' cards and then demanded the return of the excess cash, citing technical errors.
Charges have been brought against 'P.B.M.' and 'M.N.A.' under the article 'Embezzlement or misappropriation of entrusted property' of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Both have been detained and placed in custody in the GKNB pre-trial detention center.
